Mr. Scotty Dwayne Boatwright, age 47 of Crandall, GA, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at his home.
Scotty was a loving son, husband, dad, and Papa. One of the biggest joys of his life was his grandbabies. Scotty, better known to his friends as "Red," was the owner and operator of Red's Tire in Beaverdale for four years until the store relocated to Airport Road in Dalton.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Eddie Boatwright; pawpaw, Arnold Boatwright; grandparents, John Ernest and Carrie Pritchett.
Survivors include his wife, Dusty Starlene Boatwright of Crandall, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Jason Ridley of Dalton, GA, Andrew and Ashley Boatwright of Chatsworth, Josh and Adara Boatwright of Chatsworth, Tristian Hale of Alabama, and Will Donaldson of Alabama; daughter, Jonin Decker of Dayton, TN; mother, Ernestine Gulledge of Chatsworth; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Amy Boatwright of Scott County, TN, Jonathan and Patricia Boatwright of Chatsworth, and Timothy and Tabby Boatwright of Chatsworth; sisters and brothers-in-law, Peggy Boatwright of Dalton, GA, Sharon and Jeff Baggett of Chatsworth, Jessie Lackey of Chatsworth, Amanda Bargo of Chatsworth, and Karen and Chris Pendley of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Karisma and Nyla Boatwright, Maddox and Ryleigh Boatwright, Daniel Ooten, Zachery and Bentley Ridley, Brooklyn and Colton Hudgins, and Logan and Michael Decker; other survivors include many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Scotty Dwayne Boatwright will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. with Bro. Edward Atchley and Rev. Blaine Philips officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Sumach Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
