Robert Lee Ridley Sr. (Bobby) passed away September 29, 2020, from injuries he received from an accident while riding his Harley-Davidson on The Natchez Trace Parkway in Mississippi.
Booby was born Leap Year, February 29, 1936, in Ooltewah, Tennessee, to Clarence Ridley Sr. and Ruby Elrod Ridley. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and also an older brother, Clarence Ridley Jr., and a younger brother, Mickey Ridley.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Lynn Posey Ridley; three sons, Tony (Susan) Ridley, Ricky (Lisa) Ridley and Clarence (Lisa) Ridley; and two daughters, Susy (Jack) Hancock and Daphne (Brad) Henderson. Also surviving are two sisters, Mildred (Charles) Hughes and Carol (Jerome) Parrott, and his stepmother, Martha Sue Ridley. Paw Ridley will also be greatly missed by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and his life-long friend and mother of his four children, Glenice Ridley Pearson.
Bobby’s wishes were to be cremated and for his family to remember him with a Celebration of Life Ceremony, which they are so honored to do.
Anyone wishing to make any monetary donation in memory of Bobby Ridley are strongly encouraged to check out the website for The Shining Light Garden Foundation in Vero Beach, Florida, which was started by his long-time friend, Joel Bray. Bobby and Joel shared a passion for gardening.
We pray that you keep a protective eye on all of us until we see you again. Keep that beautiful smile as you ride your Harley on those Streets of Gold.
