Fumbles and miscues turned a promising game into a disastrous one for Murray County Friday in a 34-13 loss to visiting Ringgold.
Leading their region 6-AAA foes 7-0 late in the second quarter, the Indians lost back-to-back fumbles to Ringgold, both of which led to short fields and touchdowns. That set the gears turning in Ringgold’s favor on the rain soaked night and the Tigers possessed just enough offense to get the job done the rest of the way. All told, the Indians fumbled seven times, giving up two that turned into touchdowns.
