Rev. Billy Mac Raper, age 80 of Chatsworth, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022 at Erlanger Hospital.
Billy was a member of Anchor Holds Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearl and William Raper; sisters, Evelyn Holcomb, Patsy Wilson Fitz, Betty Crawford; brother, Wade Raper.
Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Cheryl Raper of Chatsworth; son, Bryan Raper of Chatsworth; daughters and sons-in-law, Leah and Randy Gallion of Chatsworth, Angie and Jay Bright of Suches, Ga.; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Gary Crisp of McDonough; grandchildren, Jennifer Garner, Heather Woodworth, Stephanie Woodworth, Levi Gallion; great-grandchildren, Gabriel Garner, Layla Garner; extended family also survives.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Rev. Billy Mac Raper was held Thursday, May 5, 2022 from Anchor Holds Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Owens, Rev. Michael Matthews, and Rev. Roger Baker officiating. Interment followed at West Hill Cemetery.
The family received friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Military honors was provided by the American Legion post 167.
Peeples Funeral Home & Crematory of Chatsworth has been entrusted with the arrangements for Rev. Billy Mac Raper.
