Mrs. Leo Wilbanks Leonard, age 90, of Chatsworth passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at her home.
Leo was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Chatsworth. She was employed by Galaxy Carpet Mills for several years, and she deeply enjoyed meeting and working with the people there. In her spare time, she liked to paint and square dance.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Maxine Wilbanks; husband, William Leonard; and daughter, Carol Leonard Lane; brothers, Buddy Wilbanks, Joe Wilbanks; sister, Virginia Wilbanks Peeples.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Emily Bradley of Tucker, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Jane Wilbanks of Dalton; sister, Ruth Ann Holcomb of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Brooks Bradley, Michael Bradley (Amy), Ansley Bradley, and Stephanie Henderson; and great-grandchildren, Trevor Bradley, KJ Day, Tyler Day, Chloe Day, Brandon Bradley, Addison Bradley, and Abel Collins.
Funeral services for Mrs. Leonard were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021, in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. George Ross officiating. She was laid to rest at Chatsworth Heights Cemetery.
The family received friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m.
