Mrs. Jewel Painter, age 94 of Chatsworth, passed away Friday, July 22, 2022, at Hamilton Medical Center.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, John Henry Painter Sr; mother and father, Derwood and Fannie Parker; brother, J.C. Parker; son-in-law, Fred Lester.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John H. and Carolyn Painter of Dalton; daughter, Janice Lester of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Mark and Norma Painter of Ringgold, Melissa Painter Keeler of Dalton, Tice and Stephanie Painter of Rocky Face, and Melinda Painter of Chillicothe, Ohio; great grandchildren, Courtney and Brandon Bolton of Chatsworth, Erin and Cain Vaughn of Chillicothe, Ohio, Maycee Bright and Nick Westbook of Rossville, Abbey Bright of Dalton, and Micah Painter of Tunnel Hill; great great grandchildren, Illyanna Vaughn of Chillicothe, Ohio, Felix Bolton of Chatsworth, and Remy Westbook of Rossville; sisters-in-law, Ethel Mullis of Soddy Daisy, Tenn., and Virginia Payne of Tunnel Hill; extended family also survives.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Jewel Painter were held Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Painter officiating. Interment followed in Murray Memorial Gardens.
The family received friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Peeples Funeral Home & Crematory of Chatsworth was entrusted with the arrangements for Mrs. Jewel Painter.
