Mrs. Carolyn Gail Johnson, age 62 of Chatsworth, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021, AdventHealth Gordon.
Mrs. Johnson was born on November 2, 1958 to J.E. “Pop” and Ruthell “Jo” Young Flood.
She was preceded in death by her father, J.E “Pop” Flood; brother, Ray Flood; niece, Christy Flood; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clint and Jessie Johnson.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Charles Ernest “Ernie” Johnson; mother, Ruthell “Jo” Young Flood; brothers and sister-in-law, Keith and Denise Flood, Doug Flood, and Steve Flood; step son and step daughter-in-law, Chuck and Dawn Johnson; sister and brother-in-law, Vadah and Shane Mullinax; nephews and spouses, Jamie and Melinda Flood, Jeremy and Monica Flood, Brandon and Autumn Flood, Chris and Melissa Flood, Jordan and Chelsey Flood, Josh Flood, and Logan Mullinax; niece and spouse, Sabrina and Caleb Carroll; several great-nephews and one little niece, aunts and uncles, and special neighbors, the Gurrola family, also survive.
Gail and Ernie have volunteered with the Murray County Search and Rescue for 40 years. Gail’s love for helping others was amazing.
Gail was known as the cake lady and she baked cakes for everybody around. Gail lived her life to the fullest in everything she did. She loved camping, fishing and her lake time, but most of all she loved her family.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Carolyn Gail Johnson will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Matthew Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Murray Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.
