Mr. Walter E. Etheridge, age 88, of Chatsworth, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at Hamilton Medical Center.
Walter was a member of Lake View Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during the Korean War.
Mr. Etheridge was preceded in death by his parents, Troy Etheridge and Minnie Gibson Etheridge; wife, Edna Tippens Etheridge; daughter, Carol McCamy; brothers, Charles (J.R.) and Lloyd Etheridge.
Survivors include his son, Larry Etheridge, of Chatsworth; daughter and sons-in-law, Rita and Mike Janow, of Calhoun, and Steve McCamy, of Woodstock; brother and sister-in-law, TR and Betty Etheridge, of Dalton; grandchildren, Charlsey Minor, Montana Etheridge, Joey McCamy, Angie Davis, Emily McCamy, and Caleb Janow; several great-grandchildren; very special friend, Bonnie Hooker, of Chatsworth.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, October 4, 2020, at 2 p.m. from the Cool Springs Cemetery with Rev. Randy McClure and Rev. Joey Patterson officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 167 of Chatsworth.
The family will receive friends Sunday, October 4, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Peeples Funeral Home.
