Mr. Ricky Lamar Pullen, age 59, of Dalton, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at his residence.
Ricky enjoyed sitting on the porch with his grandkids and counting airplanes. When he was able, on nice days, he would be found working in his shop. Ricky was known as a hardworking man who enjoyed being around his family and friends.
Mr. Pullen was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Gene and Bessie Cline Pullen; sister, Deborah Pullen Goode; maternal grandparents, Bill and Irene Cline; paternal grandparents, Melvin and Vallie Mae Pullen; several aunts and uncles.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Nelson Pullen, of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Nathan Hawkins, of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Chelsea Pullen, of Dalton; grandkids, Dixie Hawkins, Bentley Pullen and Bristol Pullen; nephews and nieces, Sean Goode and Jesse, Jamie, Kendall and Bennett Goode; special friends and family members, Bobby Yarber, Ronald Brown, Bruce Muse, Shirley Brown, Kim and Wendell Peebles, Dillon, Alexis and Liam Ketchum, Dustin, Autum and Eli Scoggins, and James Pullen; aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family also survives.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Pullen were held Monday, November 16, 2020, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Ballew and Bro. Melvin Cline officiating. Interment was in the Fairy Valley Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jeremy Locke, Josh Locke, Dustin Scoggins, Dillon Ketchum, Blake Baldridge, Jesse Goode, Wendell Peebles, Gary Baldridge, Jared Nelson, Edward Gowens, Lawrence Nelson, Charlie Nelson, and Roger Lyles.
The family received friends, Sunday from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, social distancing and masks were encouraged. No food or beverages were allowed in the funeral home.
Peeples Funeral Home & Crematory of Chatsworth was in charge of the arrangements.
