Mr. James “Curtis” Winkler, 64, of Chatsworth, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2020, at Hamilton Medical Center.
Mr. Winkler was known for enjoying deer hunting, playing his guitar, and TN walking horses.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Gladys Winkler; brothers, Buddy Winkler and Kenny Winkler; sisters, Sandra Campbell and Gwen Chastain; and grandson, Jayden Sitton.
He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Jo Winkler, of Chatsworth; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Tasha Sitton, of Chatsworth; daughter and son-in-law, Amber and Ron Heary, of South Jersey; grandchildren, Kenedie Sitton, Jace Sitton, Aubree Heary, and Arizona Heary; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Curtis Winkler was held Saturday, October 17, 2020, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Bowen and Rev. Lamar Beason officiating.
The family received friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, social distancing and masks were encouraged, and no food or beverages were allowed inside the funeral home.
Peeples Funeral Home & Crematory of Chatsworth was in charge of the arrangements for Mr. James Curtis Winkler.
