Mr. Bobby Lloyd Hightower, age 54, of Murray County, Georgia, departed this life Saturday afternoon, October 3, 2020, at the Hamilton Medical Center.
Bobby was born October 10, 1965, in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late Bobby Joe and Annie Mae Dills Hightower. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Davis, and his grandparents, Henry and Nola Hightower and Jesse and Ellie Dills.
He was a Baptist and was an HV/AC technician.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tina Holifield-Hightower, of the residence, and would have celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary December 2, 2020; sons, Matthew Hightower, of Dalton, GA, Christopher Honeycutt, of Rome, GA; daughter, Amanda Barnett, of Chatsworth, GA; sister, Cynthia “Cindy” Sissom, of Chatsworth, GA; brothers, Randy and Glenda Hightower, Michael Hightower, Don Hightower, all of Dalton, GA, Gary and Crystal Hightower, of Chatsworth, GA; brother-in-law, Ricky Davis, of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Zoe Honeycutt, Masen Barnett, Micah Barnett, Zurie Honeycutt and Deka Honeycutt; several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Bobby Lloyd Hightower will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at 2 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Ronald Guffey and Reverend Reggie Temples officiating. He will be laid to rest at Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Cole Langley, Hayden Hightower, Dillon Hightower, Derick Hightower, James Hayes, Alan Blaich, Lee Smelley and Chuck Caldwell honored to serve as pallbearers.
The family received friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday and will also receive friends after 11 a.m. Wednesday until the service hour.
Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
