Miss. Shirley Ann Evans, 85, of Chatsworth, Georgia passed away on June 13, 2022, at the Chatsworth Health Care Center after an extended illness.
Shirley was born on June 27, 1936, in Fulton County, Ohio to Jacob and Esther (Roberts) Evans.
She spent her youth in Ohio and later moved to Georgia to join family, and very much enjoyed living there. She was a gentle and kind soul, who faced the struggles and adversities of her life with great faith, strength, and determination. She was an enthusiastic participant in Special Olympics. Shirley loved hugs, music, jewelry, good food, stuffed animals, and especially visits from friends. She always had a kind smile for everyone.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her siblings, Leon (Dorothy) Evans, Raymond (Thelma) Evans, Gladys (Andrew) Gyurasics, Paul Evans, Rose May Evans, Robert Edward Evans, Hazel Joann Smith, and special care giver, Maxine Stafford.
Shirley is survived by a sister-in-law, Mildred Evans of Angola, Indiana and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and special friends, Don and Sharon Stafford.
The family would like to thank the staff of Chatsworth Health Care Center for their kind and loving care of Shirley.
Interment will be at Shiloh Cemetery, Delta, Ohio.
Cremation services were provided by Peeples Funeral Home & Crematory of Chatsworth.
