John David “J.D.” Miles, age 81 of Chatsworth, passed away Monday, January 23, 2023, at Hamilton Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. He was a member of Dewberry Baptist Church since the 1960’s.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Miles; daughter, Susan Capehart; parents, Lee and Wylene Miles; brother, Harold Miles; sisters, Katherine Winkler and Clarice Amos; brothers-in-law, Ed Winkler and Bob Amos
Survivors include a daughter, Charlene Miles, special friend, Joel Stevenson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Faye Miles, Gerald and Louise Miles, and Ted and Kay Miles; sister-in-law, Carol Miles; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Frank and Linda Loyd; nieces and nephews.
A service to honor the life of J.D. Miles will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Dewberry Baptist Church with Brandon Herndon and Mark Bowen officiating. He will be laid to rest in Dewberry Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Dewberry Baptist Church from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
