Mrs. Iva Lee Wilson, 95, passed away peacefully at home on the beautiful Spring evening of April 12, 2023.
Iva was born to Clarence and Edith Osburn on November 25, 1927 in Chickamauga, GA. Iva was a founding member of Tennga Baptist Church and was a current member of Holly Creek Baptist Church. She was retired from the USPS and Wilson’s General Store. She was a devout Christian who was kind and loving to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Harold Wilson, after 56 years of marriage. Iva was also preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Lamar Osburn and Dewitt Osburn and her sisters, Exie Littlejohn and Charlotte Clark.
Iva is survived by her beloved son, Gordon and daughter in law, Sue. Also surviving are her sisters, Parkie, Patsy, Brenda, Glenda and Debbie and her brothers, Fugate and Jerry, special niece Patricia Elliott, Great niece Paula Elliott and by a multitude of other nieces and nephews and in-laws.
A very grateful and heartfelt thank you to her caregivers, Jacquie and Laura, and to the very caring staff of Willowbrook Hospice. Amanda, Laura, Ashley and Peri made her last days comfortable, peaceful and sweet. All of these ladies are very special people who made her smile and laugh.
At her request there will be no visitation and a private family graveside service will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Tennga Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tony Robertson officiating.
