Mrs. Berthel Ann Stafford, age 85 of Crandall, Ga., passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Berthel was a master gardener and canner. She loved her family and savior, Jesus Christ, deeply. She retired from the Murray County School System where she served as a bus driver. Berthel was also the proud owner of Stafford Green House.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L.C. “Bud” Stafford; parents, Lawnie and Estelle Shuler; brothers, Robert Shuler and Glen Shuler; sister, Betty Shuler Allen; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Shuler and Mr. and Mrs. Nebo Dunn; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Stanton Stafford, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stafford, Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Stafford Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stafford, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Stafford, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Stafford, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Stafford, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Stafford, Austin Parrott, and Myrtle and Bud Copeland.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Randy Hulett of Crandall, Ga.; sons and daughter-in-law, Charles Stafford of Crandall, Ga. and Chris and Melinda Stafford of Crandall, Ga.; brother and sisters-in-law, Ronnie and Geraldine Shuler of McCaysville, Ga., Caroline Shuler of McCaysville, Ga., and Betty Parrott of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Randy and Andrea Hulett, Mark Hulett, Matthew and Tiffany Hulett, Victorria and T.J. Lovain, and Christian Stafford; great-grandchildren, Amy, Kaden, Ava, Bentley, Kylie, and Ali Hulett.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Berthel Ann Stafford was held on Monday, August 1, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from Fairy Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Lamar Payne and Rev. Dwight Scott officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
The family received friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 31, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
