Arta Pauline Ridley, better known as “Miss Polly,” age 90, of Chatsworth, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was a member of Spring Place Baptist Church.
Miss Polly was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Ridley, and parents, Free and Dessie Brown.
Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Judy and Smokey Lusk, of Tunnel Hill, and Vicki Wood, of Chatsworth; sisters and brother-in-law, Inez McHan, of Smyrna, and Nancy and Bill Burnett, of Dalton; grandchildren, Joshua Wood, Andrew Wood, Gina Blyler (John), and Delyn Lusk (Jennifer); great-grandchildren, Clowie Wood, Riley Wood, Kelsey Wood, J.T. Wood, Blakely Lusk, and Hudson Lusk; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara and Horace Dick; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Gail Ridley; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2021, in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Jody Strickland officiating. Interment followed in the Spring Place Cemetery.

The family received friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour at 3 p.m.
To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, social distancing and masks were encouraged. No food or drinks were allowed inside the funeral home.
Peeples Funeral Home & Crematory of Chatsworth was in charge of the arrangements.
