Mr. James Powell, age 55 of Chatsworth, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at his residence.
James was preceded in death by his father, Hershel Powell; his brother, Johnny Powell; and his sister, Connie Powell.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Rene Powell of Chatsworth; a son, James Ronald Powell of Chatsworth; his mother, Sue Martin of Old Fort, TN; his brothers, Dean Powell, Billy Powell, and Jud Powell; his sisters, Ava Powell, Juanita Powell, and Jamie Powell; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2015  in the Chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Jackie Martin officiating.

Mr. Paul Trammell Boyd

Mr. Paul Trammell Boyd age 65 of Ellijay, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church in Dalton.
Mr. Boyd was preceded in death by his parents, Lock and Ella Mae Boyd.
Survivors include, wife, Vinessa F. Boyd, Ellijay; son and daughter-in-law, John and Shannon Boyd, Chatsworth; daughter, Robbie J. Boyd, Dalton; brothers and sister-in-law, Bill and Norma Boyd, Athens, TN, Jerry Boyd, Dalton, Steve Boyd, Gulf Breeze, FL; sisters and brothers-in-law, Pat and Ed Baggett, Tunnel Hill, Louise and Jim Campbell, Dalton, Jeanette and Donny Williams, Dalton; grandchildren and spouses, Abbi and Craig Johnson, Gainesville, GA, Leighann and Matthew Catlett, Chatsworth, Cassie Boyd, Dalton; great – grandchildren, Quillen and Eren Johnson, Benson Catlett; nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Bobbie Jean Harrison, 71 of Chatsworth, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015 at her residence.
Bobbie was a member of Spring Place Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, M.F. and Irene Stanley; sisters, Joyce Ray and Joan Ensley.
Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years, Roland Harrison of Chatsworth; son and daughter-in-law, Heath and Allison Harrison of Chatsworth; daughters and sons-in-law, Darla and Rhoney Jackson of Chatsworth, and Pam and Scotty Rich of Chatsworth; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Gail Stanley of Dalton; sister and brother-in-law, Wylene and Tommy Underwood of Carrolton; grandchildren, Stephen Hampton, Whitney Hampton, Mallie Rich, Isabel Harrison, and Isaac Harrison; 1 aunt, 2 uncles several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Bobbie Jean Harrison were held Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Randall Harrison officiating. Interment followed in the Spring Place Cemetery.
The family received friends at the funeral home Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Mrs. Melissia Holder

Mrs. Melissia Holder, 53 of Chatsworth, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at her residence.
Mrs. Holder was preceded in death by her parents, James and Arlene Witherow Cooper; husband, David Earl Holder; grandchild, Melisa Holder.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, James and Tesia Holder of Chatsworth; daughter, Joni Green, Chatsworth; fiancé and loving companion of 18 years, Danny Cross, Chatsworth; brother, Jason Cooper, GA; sister, Kay Headrick, Crandall; special friend, Louise Davis, Chatsworth; close school friend, Debbie Lewis; sisters-in-law, Elaine Beavers, Sheila Wilson; brother-in-law, DeWayne Holder; grandchildren, Michael Ray Haynes and Tyler James Green; nieces and nephews.  
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Melissia Holder were held Tuesday, June 16, 2015 from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Danny Cochran officiating. Interment followed at Holly Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family received friends at the funeral home Tuesday, from 1:30p.m. until the funeral hour.

Mr. John Alvin Barnes, 73 of Chatsworth, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015 at his residence.
John was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He enjoyed gospel music and spending time with his family.  
He was preceded in death by his parents, Flossie and Andrew Barnes; brothers, Grover and Harley Barnes; sister, Ruby Mae Gilliam.
Survivors include his loving wife, Sylvia Barnes of Chatsworth; sons and daughter-in-law, Jonathon and Whitney Barnes of Chatsworth, and Casey Barnes of Rocky Face; sister and brother-in-law, Wilma and D.L. Banks of Ellijay; nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. John Alvin Barnes will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Poteet and Rev. Danny Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in the Holly Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Ricky Lee Bagley, 58, of Chatsworth passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015.
He loved his wife, Wanda, and her homemade biscuits. He also loved riding his Harley.
Ricky was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Jason Bartley, and special nephew, Mitchell Long.
Survivors include his loving wife of 23 years, Wanda Fenwick Bagley of Chatsworth; parents, Marvin “Peck” and Luevadie Bagley; sons and daughters-in-law, Shane and Heather Fenwick of Chatsworth and Eric and Kristy Bagley of Dalton; daughters, Haley Bagley of Tennga and April Lynne Fenwick Bartley of Crandall; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Charlene Bagley of Chatsworth, J. R. and Karen Bagley of Chatsworth; sisters and brother-in-law, Louise Bagley of Chatsworth, Lisa Bagley of Chatsworth, and Sherry and Richard Rogers of Chatsworth; special nephew, Steven Bagley; special niece, Michelle Waters; special great-niece, Kattie Waters (“Cookie”); and special great-nephew, Alex Long. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Mrs. Jean Averill Reid, age 83, of Chatsworth departed this life on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at her residence, surrounded by her family.
Jean was born on April 15, 1932 to the late William and Rebe Park. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Nelson Park.
Jean was a Registered Nurse of 40 years retiring from Hamilton Medical Center. She was a devoted, loving wife and a dedicated mother to her four daughters. She was a selfless person who was helping to raise five of her great-grandchildren. Jean loved to travel, read, knit, and be surrounded by her family.
Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, James S. Reid of Chatsworth; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Bill Hester of Ringgold, Linda and Jimmy Ray of Chatsworth, Terry and Steve Glenn of Chatsworth, and Barbara Reid of Chatsworth; sister-in-law, Letty Park of Troon, Scotland; grandchildren, Crystal Sims, Devon and Eric Crump, Christopher and Kisha Ray, and Brittany and Jason Raye; step-grandchildren, Travis Glenn and Trevor and Kayla Glenn; and great-grandchildren, Autumn, Kolbi, C. J., Bella and Kyndall Sims, Kaylee Long, Gracie and Reilly Crump, and Kensli and Payton Ray.

Mr. Richard T. Pellom

Richard T. Pellom, 81, of Marietta died Friday, June 12, 2015.  Mr. Pellom was born on March 30, 1934 in Murray County, Georgia to the late Luther and Leola Pellom.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Maureen Gibson Pellom.
He is survived by his daughters, Mona(Jeff) King of Dublin, GA, Melissa Pellom of Marietta, GA, and Michelle (Paul) Sanders of Villa Rica, GA; grandchildren, Jenny (Dr. Michael) Dent of Rome, GA, Christy (Paul) Warren of Macon, GA, Dr. Andy (Amber) King of Macon, GA, and P.J. Sanders of Villa Rica, GA; great-grandchildren, Jared, Jackson, Matthew, Joshua, and David Dent, Olivia and Noah Warren, and Norah King; sister, Joan Patterson of Conasauga, TN; two sister-in-laws, Betty Hampton of Chatsworth and Brenda Gibson of Cisco; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Pellom enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he served in the Strategic Air Command, 492nd BOMRON, 7th BOMWG during the Korean War.  After his service, Mr. Pellom was employed with Lockheed in Marietta and retired in 1991.  He served as a Deacon for many years at Holt Road Baptist Church and later at Eastwood Baptist Church.
His greatest accomplishment and pleasure was his family.  Mr. Pellom was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and servant of Christ.  He was an incredible role model of integrity, faith, dedication and most of all, love.  He will be greatly missed by both family and friends.
Funeral services were 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2015 in the chapel of Marietta Funeral Home with Rev. Justin Holcomb officiating. Interment followed Wednesday, at 1:00 p.m. at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. The family received friends Monday, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Catherine Sue Greeson Young

Catherine Sue Greeson Young, 64, of Leesburg, GA, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015 at her home.  Graveside memorial services will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery.  Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate.
A native of Dalton, GA, Mrs. Young had spent most of her life in Leesburg.   She attended St Pauls Episcopal Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Joel Benson Young and her father, Craig Wesley Greeson.
Survivors include her daughter Kelly Blythe Haas (Brian) of Leesburg; her mother, Willena Thomason Greeson of Chatsworth, GA; two grandsons, Michael and Landon Haas of Leesburg; a brother, Kim Greeson of Chatsworth, GA; a sister, Kaye Gordon of Dalton, GA; a brother in-law, Trent (Lori) Young of Leesburg; a sister in-law, Donna Young Crow of Americus, GA, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends at Crown Hill Cemetery following the memorial service.

Rev. Winford Hoyt Lance, age 88 of Chatsworth passed away at the residence of his daughter and son in law, Rita and Hershall Waters in Cleveland, TN.
He is preceded in death by his wife Helen Ruth Tankersley Lance; son, Roland Ray Lance; parents, Thomas J. and Mary Jane Lance; five brothers, Robert Cecil Lance, Hershell Lance, France Lance, Bob Lance, and Frances Lance.
Survivors include his children and spouses, Rita Lance and Hershall Waters.Joyce Lance and Ray Bruce of Dalton, Genia Lance German of Nashville, TN, Gary and Rita Lance of Dalton; sister, Osalee Kendrick of Chatsworth; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 12:00 noon at the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Lamar Beason officiating.  Interment followed in the Cool Springs Cemetery with Military Honors. The family received friends a the funeral home after 3:00 p.m. Monday.
