The refurbished Chatsworth-Murray County Public Library should be open by “the end of February,” according to Dianne Davis, branch manager.
Currently the library’s temporary site at 100 N. Third Ave. is closed as library employees prepare to move books and other materials to the 706 Old Dalton Ellijay Rd. site. Meanwhile. contractors continue to work at the old building.
“They are in the process of installing shelving and putting in new furniture,” said Davis. After that, we’ll still need to do a little landscaping and paving in the parking lot.”
