Mrs. Wanda Eloise Cox, age 88, of Crandall, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 27, 2019.
She was born on September 24, 1931.
Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her parents, Troy & Pauline Isenhower; husband of 52 years, Claude B. Cox; son, Steve Cox; granddaughter, Pamela Cox; sisters Elizabeth Gowan, Lucy Beavers & Gwen Mashburn.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Alan & Rita Cox of Cohutta, Eddie & Rose Ann Cox of Dalton, Richard Cox of Crandall and Michael Cox of Chatsworth; daughters and son-in-law, Cheryl & Bobby Martin of Old Fort, TN, and Polly Cox of Crandall; adopted daughter and special caregiver, Nancy Allen; grandchildren, Karen & John Hedden, Billy Cox, Amy & Steve McKnight, Kenny Cox, Ryan Cox, Haley & Jordan Manley, Tiffany Martin, Cody Eaves, & Cody Martin; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive; caregiver, Missy Anderson.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Cox were held Monday, December 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Chastain officiating. Interment followed in the Murray Memorial Gardens.
The family received friends Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church.
Peeples Funeral Home & Crematory of Chatsworth was in charge of the arrangements.
